Who is Lucy? Who is Lester?

Lucy is our beautiful, sweet, “polar bear looking” dog! Lester was my jokester nickname growing up, thanks Mom & Dad! 

The item I want is out of stock, are you getting more in?

Short answer: Maybe. Since our fabrics are ordered from many vendors throughout the world, we can’t always commit to re-stocking, even though we want to!  Please be sure to submit the “email me when back in stock”, so we know which fabrics you have your eye on!

Is your clothing made in the USA?

Yep!  Right here in Austin, Texas :)  I love supporting American made clothing and even better that it’s local!

Why should I care about fabric weight? 

How many times have you ordered something online only to find that it’s much thicker or thinner than you wanted?  For me, I’m always on the hunt for lightweight pants since it’s so hot in Texas.  But, I also want a few thicker pairs for the winter. Or sometimes I want lightweight pants for the summer because I’m out of bug spray, ha!  You get my drift…setting expectations is a good thing!

What is GOTS and Oeko-Tex?

GOTS stands for Global Organic Textile Standard and companies seeking this certification have to meet a number of requirements covering production, processing, manufacturing, packaging, labeling, exportation, importation and distribution of all organic fiber products.  The facilities must maintain fair labor practices from the International Labor Organization, use no toxic chemicals that have been proven to harm humans or the environment and even the water must be treated to a very high standard before release!

Overall, it gives you credible assurance that the product is both organic and thoughtfully and sustainably produced!

The Oeko-Tex Standard 100 was first introduced in the 1990’s in response to a rising demand for textiles that posed no risk to health. It’s a global certification system that tests for harmful substances that is prohibited or regulated by law. 

Overall, the Oeko-Tex prohibits the same long list of chemicals that GOTS prohibits. While it is not an organic certification, the toxic-free fabric will feel amazing against your skin!

How much is shipping?

Shipping is $5.95 up to $49 and FREE over $50.

When will I receive my order?

Your order will be processed and shipped (via USPS) within two business days and you will receive a tracking confirmation email to follow its journey.

Where do you ship to?

Right now, we only ship to the continental United States but plan to add international shipping soon.

Returns:

What is your return policy?

If you are not satisfied with your item, email info@lucyandlester.com within 30 days of purchase to receive a return label. You may return any item within 30 days of purchase, as long as it is unworn, unwashed and all original tags still in place. You will be deducted $6.00 for the cost of return shipping. Please include a copy of your packing list or receipt with any return so that we can process quickly.

Please note that all sale items cannot be returned and are final sale.

When can I expect my refund?

Please allow 2-3 weeks for us to receive and process your return.  Your original form of payment will be credited minus the $6.00 return shipping fee.
